George Hays George Arthur Hays (1854-1934), Providence, Rhode Island was a self- taught artist who is widely known for his oils and watercolors of cattle in a landscape. He was a member of both the Providence Art Club and the Providence Watercolor Club as well as the Copley Society of Boston in 1892. From 1888-1940 he exhibited frequently at the Providence Art Club and at the Society of Independent Artists from 1917-1918.
